Stirling University participate in an internship programme in partnership with Santander. PLUS joined this programme in Summer 2014, and we were delighted to be able to offer to students the opportunity to undertake a full time inernship with us for 3 months.
The opportunity has arisen again for PLUS to partner with the University in developing opportunities for Stirling University students or graduates who have not previously held an internship position with us.

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to children and young people from PLUS to join youth clubs and organisations. The volunteering will take place in organisations such as brownies, scouts and youth clubs, but you will receive training and on-going support from PLUS. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience of supporting children and young people in a youth work setting. Further information and application form can be downloaded below.

PLUS is looking to recruit a rural volunteer, to support a young person to attend Scouts on a weekly basis in Callander. The group runs term time on a Wednesday evening between 7.00pm-9.00pm.
This volunteering role will involve supporting a young person, encouraging him to take part in various activities such as games, arts and crafts and facilitating communication and interaction with his peers.
Previous experience of supporting children or young people is essential for this role. Experience supporting young people with disabilities is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided to meet the requirements of this position. PLUS will also cover any agreed out of pocket volunteer expenses for travel etc.

PLUS is currently looking to recruit volunteers to support an after school group 3.00pm â€“ 5.30pm on a Thursday afternoon. The group will run during school term time and will break over the holidays.
This volunteering role will involve supporting young people as part of a volunteer team to take part in various activities such as playing games, arts and crafts, cooking and just â€˜chilling outâ€™ with their peers.
Volunteer applicants for this role must be aged 16 or over. This role is suited to people who enjoy spending time with children and young people and who are well organised and reliable.
Previous experience of supporting children and young people is essential â€“ examples may be as a â€˜buddyâ€™ at school, or experience helping out at a club for children and young people. Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided to meet the requirements of this role.
