Interim Chief Executive Officer

This exciting post offers the successful candidate an opportunity to influence and develop opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and their families across the Forth Valley. This role would suit a dynamic, flexible and self motivated individual who has the drive to work alongside the board, staff team, children and families to continue to meet the needs of the young people and the families we support, as well as the wider organisation. Working as part of a small but committed, enthusiastic team, the Interim CEO be able to influence and develop the ongoing quality assurance and strategy development of the organisation.

Salary: £32,976 - £35,570 plus 6% pension contribution

Event Coordinator Recruitment

As part of the restructuring process, PLUS is now looking to recruit Event Coordinators to join the staff team. The main purpose of this role is the overall leadership of PLUS events on the day. Event Coordinators lead the staff team during events whilst representing PLUS to parents/carers, dealing with any issues arising in relation to transport, venues, young people etc. They will also be asked to participate in planning and preparation of events. Previous experience of supporting children and young people with disabilities is essential, as is experience leading a team. Further information and application form can be downloaded below.

Youth Work Volunteer

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to children and young people from PLUS to join youth clubs and organisations. The volunteering will take place in organisations such as brownies, scouts and youth clubs, but you will receive training and on-going support from PLUS. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience of supporting children and young people in a youth work setting. Further information and application form can be downloaded below.

Rural Volunteer Opportunity

PLUS is looking to recruit a rural volunteer, to support a young person to attend Scouts on a weekly basis in Callander. The group runs term time on a Wednesday evening between 7.00pm-9.00pm.

This volunteering role will involve supporting a young person, encouraging him to take part in various activities such as games, arts and crafts and facilitating communication and interaction with his peers.

Previous experience of supporting children or young people is essential for this role. Experience supporting young people with disabilities is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided to meet the requirements of this position. PLUS will also cover any agreed out of pocket volunteer expenses for travel etc.

After School Group Volunteering Opportunity

PLUS is currently looking to recruit volunteers to support an after school group 3.00pm – 5.30pm on a Thursday afternoon. The group will run during school term time and will break over the holidays.

This volunteering role will involve supporting young people as part of a volunteer team to take part in various activities such as playing games, arts and crafts, cooking and just ‘chilling out’ with their peers.

Volunteer applicants for this role must be aged 16 or over. This role is suited to people who enjoy spending time with children and young people and who are well organised and reliable.

Previous experience of supporting children and young people is essential – examples may be as a ‘buddy’ at school, or experience helping out at a club for children and young people. Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided to meet the requirements of this role. PLUS will cover any agreed out of pocket volunteer expenses for travel etc to support at the group.
