Well done to  PLUS Board member Susan Rodger, who ran one half marathon and two 10k`s and  raised over £1000 for PLUS!

Up and coming fundraising event!

Cameron and Lachlan Hall are twins with autism who have been enjoying the Playplus project since they were five.  Now they are twelve and about to join the PLUS Youth project.   Their mum, Linda, has decided to raise money for PLUS by trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro.   This is a major challenge which will take 14 days to complete

Message from Linda:

On 20th September this year I will set out on an  expedition to the Roof of Africa, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, is the highest point in Africa at 19,340ft.   This 14 day trip will include the ascent of Mt. Meru at about 15,000ft before attempting the ascent of Kilimanjaro, by the Western Breach route, an exciting scrambling route, often iced over.

 The charity I chose to sponsor was PLUS. Since our boys, Lachlan and Cameron were young PLUS has always been there to offer the boys great support and they do likewise for many other families. It not only provides kids with fantastic fun, but gives many parents much needed respite.

 If you feel you can give something to support me and help PLUS we will all be very grateful. Unlike some charity expeditions 100% of the money donated will go directly to PLUS; the costs involved in getting to Tanzania and climbing Kilimanjaro are being met by my sponsors, The Trossachs Cab Company.

As well as applying for grants PLUS raises funds from the local community to support its work with disabled children and young people across the Stirling Council area.
