Out of School Care Organisations
Stirling Council provides general information, advice and support to OOSC organisations. As a part of its support it has funded PLUS to provide a specialist focus of support for children with disabilities.
Stirling Council has agreed a framework for this support which can be downloaded here:

The framework includes reference to a tool to assist OOSC organisations to identify additional needs and to plan to meet them. The assessment tool can be downloaded here:
Recording tool
PLUS offers training in a number of areas directly related to meeting the additional needs of disabled children. These include Disability Awareness, Moving and Handling People, Managing Difficult Epilepsy, Managing Difficult Behaviour, Communication. Places are often available on PLUS courses or a course can be delivered in-house at an OOSC organisation. Contact Susan Rodger or Paul Dumbleton for more information.
As part of its agreement with Stirling Council, PLUS can also make a financial contribution to meeting the additional needs of disabled children in OOSC organisations in Stirling Council area.
